Whether young or old, modern or traditional, the region of Glarus has a very diverse cultural offer. On the program: concerts, theater, conferences, culture for youth at Holenstein and outdoor music in front of the town hall.

In cultural policy, music has a special place. The top event in the musical field is "Braunwald Music Weeks" - since 1935, in July, young artists are introduced according to a selected theme - mainly classical music, but also modern compositions.

The municipalities of Glarus as well as their inhabitants have only one goal: to attract quality musicians to Glarus and to support local artists performing in orchestras and choirs.

The population of Glarus is very welcoming. After a stay - even for a single day - one comes back relaxed, ready to get immersed in everyday life, a daily life that resonates with the sound of jazz, pop and gospel...
