“Besançon: Land of traditional social graces”

Besançon is a commune in the East of France, capital city of the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region. Located on the edge of the Jura mountains about sixty kilometers from Switzerland, it is surrounded by hills and is crossed by the Doubs.

Epicenter of culture, Besançon has rich and diversified museum collections. Much more than a museum, the house of Victor Hugo has become a living, reflective space, based on the poet’s ideology; and even more the vaulted cellar has become a multipurpose place dedicated to events.

The capital city of Franche-Comté also has other friendly centers, squares that come to life with events...
